Individual & Family Therapy
Individual Counseling
Clients receive individualized counseling services on a monthly basis and as needed or requested. Our counseling services are designed and implemented to support the recovery, health, and well-being, of the persons or families served. In addition, these services seek to enhance the quality of life, assist in the completion of goals and objectives, reduce symptoms or needs, build resilience, restore an improved functioning, and support the integration of the persons served into the community.
Family Counseling
Family support is key in helping a loved one overcome addiction. NERC’s family counseling provides the family members of those in treatment with information about substance abuse and the recovery process, as well as serves as an outlet to voice their concerns. We value an open dialogue between the treatment facility and family members: eliminating concerns and having family members well-informed is critical to building the patient’s support system outside of treatment.
These group sessions prepare family members for rapid changes that may occur during recovery, educate them on the physical effects of drug use and withdrawal, as well as inform them on how recovery may potentially affect family dynamics. However, family counseling also encourages clients’ family members to care for themselves while supporting patients in recovery–the health of the family is just important as that of the patient.
The individual recovery / treatment planning process shall involve the family / legal guardian of the person served, when applicable. Families are encouraged to participate in educational programs offered by each clinic as well as an individual session as requested with valid releases of information.
